Kings Ski Club was started in 1978 by graduates of King's College London wishing to set up a national ski club for students. Through its history, Kings Ski Club has offered its own holiday packages, run seeded alpine races on the British race calendar, and so much more. See our section on club history for more on this. Today Kings runs a comprehensive dual slalom race series on dry ski slopes across England & Wales and welcomes both skiers and snowboarders... and its NOT just for students!
The club is a non-profit organisation and run entirely by volunteers, most of whom raced with Kings during their time at university. We aim to keep dry-slope racing fun and inclusive for people of all standards, and teams from more than 40 universities are represented in the league races. In addition to the core dual slalom racing the club also runs an annual event in the Alps on real snow!! We plan to extend this event again in the coming years with the help and support of our new sponsors.
